About the Department
The Wayland Police Department is located in the Public Safety Building along with the Wayland Fire Department at 160 West Superior Street Wayland, Mi., 49348.
Assisting the fulltime departmental members are 10 Certified Police Officers and 5 Reserve Police Officers.

EMS
The Wayland Area EMS serves the City of Wayland. Mutual-Aid is received from Thorneapple Twp. Emergency Services as well as AMR-EMS, Plainwell EMS and Life EMS.
Community Policing
Monthly Coffee held the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 9a.m. to 11a.m. at the Public Safety Building Meeting Room, free of charge.
The police department through its Community Policing provides the following programs:
Neighborhood Watch, Fingerprinting, Bicycle Safety, Bicycle Registration (free), and Tours of the Police Department.
